Kindergarten Screening
We are truly looking forward to meeting your future kindergartner at our kindergarten assessments!  In May, before your child enters kindergarten, he/she will need to participate in a kindergarten screening assessment.  These assessments will take place at Maple Glen Elementary in 15 minute time slots on Monday, May 8th, and Tuesday, May 9th.

If you have a student in All Aboard, there is no need to sign up for an assessment. A Maple Glen Teacher will be doing assessments with those students on May 11th.

More info and the sign up genius can be found here

Safe Visitor Information
In an effort to constantly improve and enhance school safety, we have implemented a visitor management system called SafeVisitor.  This comprehensive system will enhance our school entrance security and better ensure that every visitor to our schools is permitted and authorized to be in our school buildings.

A SafeVisitor background check is required for anyone who visits our schools, including family members of our students.

Examples of activities in the schools where visitors will need a completed SafeVisitor background check are:

  • Lunch Guests
  • Classroom Parties
  • Classroom Volunteers/Helpers/Room Parents
  • Field Trip Chaperones

Examples of activities that will not require a formal background check are (these visitors will follow normal school check-in procedures):

  • Classroom/Guest Speakers
  • Parent/Teacher Conferences/Case Conferences
  • School Special Events (Grandparent's Day, Famous Hoosiers, etc.)
  • School Programs
  • Visiting the school office or dropping off items at school.

These background checks will cost $12.95 and can be acquired via the link below.  Please note that this process could take 3 to 6 business days.  Once approved, please be on the lookout for a badge notification email from "info@safevisitorsolutions.com."  Your badge will be attached as a PDF.  You can either print it, save it on your phone, or download the SafeVisitor app.  A photo will be required and added upon your first visit to the school.
